Selected works by top clothing brands and fashion designers from Taiwan are currently on display at Asia’s largest fashion event in Hong Kong, according to the Taiwan Textile Federation Jan. 16.
Scheduled to run from Jan. 16 to 19 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, “World Boutique, Hong Kong” is the major international fashion fair in Asia, the TTF noted.
According to the TTF, 12 designers or brands from Taiwan, including Yungchin Chang, Fala Fashion Inc., Lin Hui-chi, Figure Armor and Shih Yulin, are showcasing their best works at the exhibit, with a “Taipei in style” fashion parade scheduled for Jan. 18.
The 10th edition of the fashion event features some 1,900 exhibitors from 25 countries and regions, displaying designer items, fashion apparel and accessories, organizers said.
In related news, 13 Taiwanese companies just took part in Heimtextil, the world’s largest international trade fair for home textiles, which ran from Jan. 11 to 14 in Frankfurt, Germany.
According to TTF statistics, the Taiwan exhibitors secured US$510,000 of orders during the Frankfurt exhibit, with another $5.25 million worth in future orders.
The German fair, featuring some 2,600 exhibitors, attracted over 70,000 buyers from all over the world, according to organizers. (HZW)
